Every diver should take part in the special deep diving course during their diving training. Diving in the depths has always fascinated all divers. However, the deeper you dive, the greater the influence of depth on you, your equipment and your air consumption. Learn to safely descend and resurface at depths of up to 40m. Follow the call of the deep!

Course content:

In theory and practice, you will be introduced to the special features of deep diving and you will learn to understand what happens to you and your equipment.

Duration of course: 1 session of 8 hours

1 theory lesson

2 dives in open water (lake)

Theory training:

Learn to understand and deal with the increased water pressure and its effects on gases and to safely venture into water depths of up to 40m. Detailed briefings before and after the dives help you apply and deepen what you have learned.

Practical training: (2 dives in the diving lake)

During two deep dives you will get to know and appreciate the new diving conditions.

We carry out open water dives on external diving waters. Depending on the diving conditions, we usually head for the Bosmolenplas/Panheel in the Netherlands (100km from Cologne). Alternatively, we drive to the Sorpe Dam or Messinghausen. Plus €15 entry fee/day sea base (to be paid on site). The journey is on your own. You will receive further information regarding meeting point etc. after registration.

This course is part of the iac Advanced Open Water Divers.
