TEC FUNDAMENTAL

Lay the foundation for your path in technical diving

From equipment check-ups to finning techniques, you will learn the basics of Tec diving

The Tec Fundamental is your ticket to the world of technical diving. During this course you will learn the basics you need for technical diving. It is the basis for all further technical diving courses.

Course contents:

You will learn all the skills you need for technical dives. The training focuses on mastering precise buoyancy/fine trim, finning techniques, team awareness and controlled ascents using a surface buoy and equipment configuration.

You will be trained in theory and practice, including:

  • Different equipment configurations for technical diving
  • Different philosophies (DIR, INDIE, KISS, solo, team diving …)
  • Principle of long hose / backup regulator
  • Water position, fine trim, body posture
  • Fin-stroke techniques (frog, frog kick, ankle frog, back kick, helicopter turn, modified flutter)
  • Basic-6 (clipping, regulator (valve check only), mask, valves, inflator, OOA skill)
  • Ascent in lying water position, 6 min. ascent (starting at 6m with 1m/min)

Course duration: 4 days

1-2 theory lessons

4-6 dives

Theoretical training:

The detailed content of the theory lessons is taught in 1-2 units. Detailed briefings before and after the dives help you to apply and deepen what you have learned.


Practical training: (4-6 dives)

In six training dives, both indoor and outdoor, you will learn all the skills you need to be prepared for technical diving courses. The indoor diving center and the sea bases offer excellent conditions for this demanding training.


Including:

  • Complete quality rental equipment (including ABC equipment)
  • Entrance to the indoor diving center
  • Certification fees
  • Brevet (diving certificate in card format by post) & eCard (digital card)


To gain more diving experience or take your skills to the next level, you can join the D4L Club or take additional specialty courses.
