Avoiding stress, reacting to it correctly and helping divers in distress is essential for every advanced diver.

The special course Stress & Rescue is the course for diving rescue and safety. Learn to anticipate risky situations, react to them and avoid dangers or solve problems. Stress is a physical and psychological phenomenon to which you will learn how to react correctly. After this course, you will be able to anticipate dangers, solve problems or rescue divers both above and underwater.
Course contents:
The training to become a Stress & Rescue Diver takes place on two dates and is taught to you through two theory lessons and four training dives.
Course duration: 3 Ends at approx. 8 Std.
2 theory lessons including first aid training
4 dives indoor2 dives/scenarios in open water (lake)
Theoretical training:
Recognizing and assessing stressful situations, first aid for pressure-related injuries and administering O2 are just some of the topics you will be taught. Detailed briefings before and after the dives will help you to apply and deepen what you have learned.
Practical training: (6 dives & scenarios)
Various scenarios are carried out both underwater and above water, giving you an ideal course of action to deal with, for example, panic situations, accident situations or missing divers.

This course is part of the Master Diver training. The iac Stress & Rescue course can also be recognized for the SSI Master, provided you have completed at least 2 SSI specialties in the AOWD.
To gain more diving experience or take your skills to the next level, you can join the D4L Club or take additional specialty courses.
