The special dry diving course is your introduction to warm and comfortable diving in the waters of the mid-latitudes. Especially in winter or at great depths, the visibility is usually very good, but can hardly be enjoyed without a dry suit. Diving in a “trocki” makes you independent of “wind and weather” and will help you to enjoy your passion for diving all year round.

You will need your own dry suit to take part in the course.

Course content:

Find out more about the different types of drysuits, their care and maintenance and learn the special features of diving with the “drysuit” in theory and practice.


Course duration: 1 session of 6 hours each

1 theory lesson

2 dives in the indoor diving center

Theory training:

The theory training takes place in a theory block. You will learn everything you need to know about selecting, handling, care and maintenance of drysuits. In the dive briefings we will work with you on your skills.

Practical training: (2 dives)

In two training dives you will learn how to dive safely and how to use your dry suit. You will quickly gain confidence and security in diving with a dry suit.

Including:

    Complete quality rental equipment - except dry suit: This can be rented from our partners at BlueMarlin Cologne (€20 per day) / Inquire when registering whether the drysuit is ready at dive4life or whether it has to be picked up in Cologne before the course the indoor diving center IMPORTANT: Please note the information on material insurance for the cuffs of the dry suits. >>> INFO HERE


To gain more diving experience or take your skills to a higher level, you can join the D4L Club or take other specialty courses.

Cuffs all-round protection

IMPORTANT NOTE - CUFF ALL-ROUND PROTECTION (optional) plus 19 euros: For our drysuit courses we provide you with very high-quality and well-maintained drysuits through our partner Tauchsport BlueMarlin Cologne. Drysuits are equipped with sealing cuffs that can tear if handled incorrectly. You will of course learn how to put the cuffs on correctly in the theory class before your first dive. Unfortunately, it happens every now and then that someone has just taken a quick look at their cell phone during the dive theory" and disregarded the instructions on how to properly put on the suits. That's why we offer an optional ALL-ROUND PROTECTION that protects against tearing of the cuffs. Of course, we would be happy if you handle the suits carefully despite ALL-ROUND PROTECTION ;) ALL-ROUND PROTECTION covers the costs of a torn cuff. Without all-round protection, we unfortunately have to charge you the following fees in the event of damage.
